The Police and Crime Commissioner is responsible for funding local support services for victims of crime.  We are currently undertaking a Victim Needs Assessment which forms a review of existing services available to victims, highlights good practice and identifies gaps and areas where improvements could be made.  This will determine the types of services we fund in the future to ensure services offered meet the needs of the community.

Services to support victims funded by the Police and Crime Commissioner are available to ALL victims – including those who choose not to report to the police.

We are aware there are lots of victims of crime who do not report to the police and we are keen to hear what support they need and what would encourage them to access this support in the future and have 2 ways in which you can help.

  1. We anticipate that your organisation may well support people who are victims of crime and so would appreciate your help in sharing your views on the support required by victims, including those who do not report to the police.  We would be grateful if you could complete this short survey to share your views and experiences as a provider.  The survey can be accessed on the following link:- www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/cheshireVNAConsultationB
  2. We are really keen to ensure the voices of those who do not engage with the police are heard as part of this consultation and would appreciate it if you could share the Victim’s voice survey on you social media pages to ensure as many people as possible can have their voice heard.  I have attached an image suitable for social media and composed an example tweet/ Facebook post to ensure this process is easy as possible for you.

Have you been a victim of crime in the last 3 years?  @Cheshirepcc would like to hear about the support you received or required as a result of that crime to help shape future services.  https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/cheshirevictimsvoicesurvey #haveyoursay

Your support with this is very much appreciated.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact me on the below details.

Many thanks,
