Aims and Mission

Jesus said, “I came that they might have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10:10)

As part of the Diocese of Chester in the Church of England, the parish of Wilmslow is committed to the following five aims:

    ▪       To proclaim the good news of God’s kingdom

    ▪       To teach, baptise and nurture new Christian believers

    ▪       To respond to human need by loving service

    ▪       To seek to change unjust structures of society

    ▪       To strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and to sustain the life of the earth

This is why we are here as a church. All of this is surrounded and sustained by our worship and prayer.  

We are very lucky here in Wilmslow Parish to have a wonderful ministry team of assistant clergy and lay readers, and many committed lay people. Please see our webpage “Who’s who” for further information.
