Baptism or christening as it is sometimes called is a sign or sacrament used to welcome people into the family of the church. Promises are made, faith is confessed, water is poured, blessed and used as a sign of being washed clean and a new life started.

Churches are special and unique places to get married in - the prayers, promises and the whole service of celebration become part of your marriage, on the day itself and beyond. They are also great places for those who want their marriage blessed or to renew marriage vows.

Being there at life’s end, helping and supporting families through the sad loss of those they love is a great privilege for us. We don’t have easy remedies for the sorrow and hurt but we do have a hope that can bring comfort and peace to a journey through bereavement.

Some of our churches hold annual Memorial Services for those recently bereaved. 

We are also here to help local communities commemorate major events in the life of the nation such as Remembrance Sunday, and an Annual Memorial Service for those recently bereaved.
